Bettas can suffer from a number of ailments and diseases. I am covering the most basic ones here.
In general, the
best medication is prevention. If you keep your Bettas in clean water and feed them properly, your incidence of disease
will be much lower. However, even the best fish keepers will run into disease or other ailments at some point.
